NEW DELHI (INDIA): In a bid to provide impetus to the real estate sector and support the reform measures taken by the government, National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) – an apex body, formed under the aegis of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs is all geared up to organize its “14th National Convention” to be held in New Delhi on 28th & 29th August, 2017.

The two days convention will see an active exchange of knowledge and ideas enriching the industry with thought provoking objectives for growth of the sector. The National Convention over two day will witness Bureaucrats, Policy Makers, Experts, Leaders, Real Estate and Private Equity Players all under one roof. The idea exchanges and deliberations would help the industry in presenting a competitive operational environment and will deliberate on strategies for exploiting the potential of real estate to achieve higher economic growth and prosperity. The theme of this year’s Convention is “Indian Real Estate – Unfolding the new era of growth.”

Announcing the Convention NAREDCO Chairman, Rajeev Talwar, said, “The year has seen some remarkable positive developments. Post demonetisation, while the sector witnessed some sluggishness, the implementation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) has brought a new wave of activity into the sector. While these regulations add value to the overall investment potential of the Indian real estate sector, it also propels us to rethink our strategies for tomorrow.”

“Visiting dignitaries will brainstorm through the entire two days to come out with some ways to sail through the current sluggish behaviour in the sector and plan a roadmap for the coming year,” said Talwar.

Parveen Jain, President, NAREDCO, said, “Real estate sector is one of the important sectors for every state and for the country as a whole and plays a vital role in India’s economy. The Convention will give us a right platform to navigate through some of the challenges that is troubling the sector. It presents us two days of opportunity to bring forth some right solutions for the entire industry.”

We will soon see a stable, industrialized housing market, fully compliant and making “Housing for All” a reality. The much awaited national convention will act as a perfect backdrop to witness this transformation where International & National real estate players to exchange new technology ideas and open investment opportunities”.

Along with the National Convention, an exhibition to display new technologies, products and materials for the benefit of the participants will also be organised at the same venue.

NAREDCO and its state chapters work in close co-ordination with central and various state governments to achieve its objectives, that is, promotion of housing and real estate sector in India and inculcate transparency and accountability for the benefit of the customers.
