NEW DELHI (INDIA): India’s cement company JK Cement will said that it announce the 26th Architect of the Year (AYA) Award-2017 on September 17, 2017 in Coimbatore.
The prestigious award is JK Cement’s annual flagship event and is aimed at recognizing and encouraging remarkable talent in the field of architecture.
Some of the most prestigious categories at the AYA include Architect of the Year, the Great Master’s Award, the Young Architect Award and the Foreign Countries Architect Award. The jury for the award includes renowned names in the field of architecture (refer list).
The revolving category this year is affordable housing, which is in line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of providing housing for all.
Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, currently advisor and former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation will grace the award ceremony as the Chief Guest. Raghavpat Singhaniafrom JK Cement will also be present on the occasion.

The prestigious AYA Awards is attended by the most celebrated names in the world of architecture, and is one of the most anticipated events of the year for leading architects. This year, the jury received over 199 entries that came from India as well as its neighboring nations, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
