NEW DELHI (INDIA): The Wadhwa Group announced the opening of SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION (SMBC) at their flagship boutique office building ‘Platina’ in BKC in Mumbai.

SMBC inaugurated their new office and the ceremony was graced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ambassador of Japan to India Kenji Hiramatsu,SMBC MD & Asia Pacific Head Shosuke Mori, Country Head Hiroyuki Kakita were present.

Platina already houses World renowned banks like National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NABD) and State Bank of India (SBI) and rents out approximately 22,000 sq.ft and 3000 sq.ft of area respectively.

The progressive growth in the commercial sector is expected to continue through to the next quarter. The requirement for office spaces has also risen, and a majority of them are from the Fortune 500 clients.

Speaking on the occasion, Navin Makhija, Managing Director, The Wadhwa Group said, “We extend our warm welcome to SMBC. BKC is the most preferred commercial hub in recent times and having reputed financial institutions at Platina is testimony to that.
