NEW DELHI: Gurugram CP Sandeep Khirwar laid the foundation stone for the construction of New Gurugram’s first police station today at Vatika India Next, Sector 83.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Gaurav Bhalla, Managing Director, Vatika Hotels Pvt. Ltd. It will cover sectors 81 to 88 of New Gurugram. A temporary police post has already been set up since last year to tackle the rise in crime in these new areas.

Sandeep Khirwar (Commissioner of Police, Gurugram) said – “We appreciate the efforts of Vatika and Enviro in contributing to our initiatives in making New Gurugram a next-gen secured city to live in.” He added that once ready 35-40 police staff will be employed at this PS initially and as the city gradually develops the number will increase to 100-120. A dedicated cyber department will also be set up to tackle all the increasing cyber crimes. It is going to be the first in the New Gurugram area and will be under the supervision of DCP Manesar.

Gaurav Bhalla (Managing Director, Vatika Hotels) said –“This foundation stone of new Police Station is another milestone achieved in our endeavour to tighten the security measures in New Gurugram. This will add to our ongoing efforts of providing state of the art technology to ensure safety and security. Visitor management feature in Enviro mobile app is one such step in this direction.”

The police station will be constructed in the area offered by the developer Vatika and will be named Police Station at Vatika India Next. It will be built in 10,000 sq feet area across three levels. Vatika Group has already provided three PCR vans along with drivers for area surveillance and will be providing more in the near future. Additionally, Enviro – the facilities management wing of Vatika is responsible for all the safety and security of the area and has installed infra-red CCTV Cameras at all main entry and exit gates and sector roads of the township for better vigilance in the area. Enviro will share live feed from the CCTVs with the Gurugram police for better monitoring of the area. Team Enviro along with Gurugram Police will ensure better safety and security of the residents in the area.

Enviro has already incorporated Visitor Managment System through Enviro’s mobile application to avoid any type of unauthorized entries into the societies and is a better way to coordinate & plan visitors in residential areas. All vehicles are monitored at major entry and exit gates to keep the premises intrusion free.
