NEW DELHI: Jayakumar Krishnaswamy was recently appointed as Managing Director for Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd. (formerly Lafarge India Limited).
He will be responsible for its three business divisions; cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.
Krishnaswamy’s approach to doing business coupled with his expertise in integrated supply chain management and transforming organisations make him an ideal fit to drive Nuvoco’s next stage of growth.
Jayakumar Krishnaswamy joined Nuvoco as Managing Director in September 2018; responsible for its three business divisions; cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates. This is his second innings with Nuvoco; having previously helped establish the green-field site for the Chittor Cement Plant and its distribution system.
Krishnaswamy has over 30 years of experience across the Automotive, Building Materials, Engineering, and FMCG Industries. His last assignment was as Managing Director of AkzoNobel India; where he was responsible for Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
Prior to that, Krishnaswamy was General Manager Supply Chain at Hindustan Unilever; where he worked in various positions and across manufacturing sites in the Home & Personal Care, and Foods segments. He was also responsible for setting up green-field plants, managing the supply chain and leading the organisation’s transformation agenda for the South Asia region.
Krishnaswamy started his career in manufacturing with M/s Brakes India Limited and was later associated with Eicher Tractors Limited; where he was also part of a task force involved in introducing TQM concepts.
Krishnaswamy is a Mechanical Engineer and alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering. During the course of his career, he developed expertise in integrated supply chain management, kick-starting new initiatives, and transforming organisations.
